Seems we've had this conversation before, and I have to admit the 4/28 show is right up there. But can you really go wrong with any of the shows from that 5 day Fillmore run?

Well since you asked... I'm actually not a huge fan of 4/27. The Beach Boys kind of kill it for me. I'll take 4/28 and 4/29(!) all day over that one.

OP should have his friend listen to the jam that starts with Alligator.

However, Tell makes a good point. Perhaps it's best to think of albums rather than shows at first. Beauty and Workingman's are great ones to start with.
